An update on the exciting future of Eileen Gay Opticians

After nearly 40 years in optics, Mr and Mrs Gay have decided to ease into retirement from general practice.
To make the transition as smooth as possible, the practice is becoming part of the Hakim Group, the fastest growing group of independent opticians in the UK and Ireland. The practice will now be able to enjoy the benefits of a back-office support system but, crucially for us, the Hakim Group has a reputation for maintaining practices’ individuality and identities.
With this in mind, we will still be called Eileen Gay Opticians, and you will still be greeted and dealt with by the friendly faces of our original staff.
Mr and Mrs Gay would like to express their thanks to all of you for your continued support over the years, and can guarantee you will be in safe hands.

Following Government advice we will now be resuming normal services including sight tests and contact lens appointments from Monday 22nd June 2020. If you would like to book an appointment please contact the practice at your convenience

Our Practice

Welcome to our practice website; we have been looking after patients’ eye health in the area since our first practice was established in 1987. Here at Eileen Gay Opticians we take data protection very seriously. For this reason all patient data has always been held on our internal computer system, which cannot be accessed or interfered with by external agencies.

Our Location

We are located just off Broxbourne High Road, on Station Road near the main precinct. We have lots of free parking behind the practice in the public car park and we are a few minutes walk from Broxbourne Train Station and also only over the road from local

bus routes.
